about

'Bandaids' was originally written by vocalist and lyricist Katherine Kelly in June 2014. This song was inspired by a deteriorating romantic relationship. This song is about being depressed and feeling hopeless after many attempts to hold the relationship together, but still not being heard.

lyrics

Bandaids

I'm a mouse in a maze
I'm entranced in the game
Everyone's watching
Why are they watching?
I'm stuck in this place
I'm trying to escape

But they just keep watching
Just keep taunting
Just keep watching

Some or other way
Something's gotta change
These Bandaids are wearing
And these wounds just keep flaring

I'm desperate for a place
That reminds me of you
I need somewhere safe
I'm lost without you
I'm lost without you

The days are long
The nights, they're cold
I'm stripped of you
I slowly unfold

Well, I put these Bandaids on each day
And with each night, we both decay
These Bandaids never let me heal
These Bandaids aren't even real
I peel them off, beneath I find:
The same damn wounds every time

Some or other way
Something's gotta change
These Bandaids are wearing
And these wounds just keep flaring

I'm desperate for a place
That reminds me of you
I need somewhere safe
I'm lost without you
I'm lost without you

God, it hurts to be so raw
Damn, it never helped at all
They're giving up, they're walking away
But I can't scream, no I just can't say:
"I need you the most when I push you away,"
I need you the most when I push you away

You're giving up, you're walking away
But I can't scream, no, I just can't say:
"I need you the most when I push you away,"
I need you the most when I push you away

Away

Some or other way
Something's gotta change
These Bandaids are wearing
And these wounds just keep flaring

I'm desperate for a place
That reminds me of you
I need somewhere safe
I'm lost without you
I'm lost without you
