about

‘Impressive’ was inspired by dead-ended dates with aloof people. This song is the realization that you’re worth more than people give you credit for. We are all Impressive in our own ways and it’s important for us to surround ourselves with people who see that in us.

lyrics

Impressive

I walk in the room
& all stares fall on me from all but you
Your eyes glaze past mine, so why do I try?
Onto the next one, it's not worth my time

I'm over you & your pretenses
& It's about time you knew that I'm Damn Impressive
I'm Damn Impressive & don't you forget it

I don't mean to be rude, you go & do what you do
I'll take the stage, I'm the next new craze
I'll wait for the next one
Til then, I'll ride this on my own
It's not lonely being alone,
I'm not lonely being alone

I'm over you & your pretenses
& It's about time you knew that I'm Damn Impressive
I'm Damn Impressive & don't you forget it
I'm Damn Impressive

Step to the side, back of the line; I'm Impressive
Open your eyes, it shouldn't be a surprise; I'm iridescent

Woah-oh-oh-oh! (x4)

Perfection isn't what I claim, but I tell myself every day
What I'm worth & what I'll take
What is real & what is fake
Arrogance isn't in my name
But I stand tall, I own it all

These scars on my sleeve
I'm smart, I'm pretty, I'm obscene
All of these *Monsters I Defeat*
Every day, I build my strength
Every day I'm proud to be
So Damn Impressive
& don’t you forget it
